Frequently, researchers are turning to on-line formats for collecting data from target populations. As such, there is no need for hard copies of instruments, but rather materials must be in a format that can be loaded electronically into these on-line platforms. To use any of the Center’s measures in this manner, one would need to complete a licensing agreement. This document will outline the responsible user’s name, the title of the study that will use the scale, the number of anticipated administrations, and guidelines for how the scale is to be presented and used in this manner. There is a licensing fee associated with this that is the instrument’s individual cost. For example, if one were interested in using the ASPIRES in a study involving 100 subjects, the licensing fee would be $60.00. This agreement must be signed and the fee paid prior to placing the scale on-line. If more than the anticipated number of administrations occur, the user will need to remit the requisite fee for these additional usages. So, given the above example, if the user actually administered 110 ASPIRES on the electronic platform, then the user must remit an additional $6.00.
If you are interested in using one of the Center’s scales, there is a two-step process to complete the licensing process. First, please fill in the Licensing Agreement document located on this page. You will be asked for your name, e-mail address, the title of the study, the instrument you wish to employ, and the anticipated number of administrations. Once completed, you will receive a PDF file containing the licensing agreement. Please sign this document and return a copy to me at drralph@thecfps.com. Second, you will need to pay the licensing fee for the scale. Once you have submitted your request, you will be automatically directed to the payment page. Here, you simply indicate the scale and number of administrations you require, your total cost and payment options will then appear. You will then receive an electronic copy of the scale that you can use for placing on your site.
