NEO PIR Training Manual

This manual is for use with those participating in the 8-hour training session on the history, development, and clinical applications of the NEO Personality Inventory scales (e.g., NEO PI-R and NEO PI3). The training session will provide attendees with an overview of the history and development of the Five-Factor Model (FFM) of personality as well as the role of the NEO PI scales in developing and furthering the empirical and interpretive utility of this model. Participants will learn about the structure of the scale and interpretations for each of its 35 scales. Also included will be numerous case profiles that students will use to develop their own interpretive skills under the guidance and mentoring of the Instructor. At the end of this seminar, participants will have a strong, working knowledge of the FFM and its value in both measurement and clinical practice. Participants will also have a basic skill in the administration and interpretation of the instrument.
